The Capital of the Alps & Innsbruck

Team Alpine's leaves Thurnher's Alpenhof, our final host in Zurs, after experiencing the luxury and service all guests encounter. This family run property (four generations of women) provided personalized and thoughtful service throughout our short stay.

En route to our next stop of Innsbruck, we had an opportunity to visit some of our lodging partners in St. Anton. Hotel Banyan and Arlberg, both four star properties within walking distance of the lifts and the nightlife.

One last view of St. Anton as we head to the train station...

The only way to travel...taking the hour long train ride from St Anton to Innsbruck with some local beer.

The view of old town Innsbruck, as we were given the history by our local guide, Angelika Mair. This pedestrian area bustles with tourists and locals alike who take advantage of the outdoor cafes with a warm drink and excellent people watching.

A listing of some of the former guests and visitors of the Hotel Goldener Adler, including Hofer, Goethe, Mozart, and Kaiser Joseph II

Janet gazing in wonder at some of the architecture and shops in the pedestrian area

The mountains provide a beautiful backdrop for the historic buildings of Innsbruck

Sitting down to dinner at Grand Hotel Europa, a beautiful five star hotel within walking distance of the main train station.
