Another Day in the Ski Paradise of the Arlberg Region

Starting off with fresh powder on a cloudy day overlooking Zurs

Sad saying goodbye to our first home in Zurs. The Eggler family, who own and operate this four star property made us feel very welcome for our first few days in Austria. They also hosted an Alpine escorted group, who thoroughly enjoyed the Austrian food and hospitality!

Our wonderful host of Arlberghaus, Mr. Thomas Eggler

Team Alpine heading to a deluxe lunch at the five star hotel Lorunser, located in Zurs

Getting ready to enjoy a typical Austrian meal, finished with Heisse Liebe (German for 'Hot Love'): vanilla ice cream topped with hot raspberry sauce. I think everyone enjoyed the name almost as much as the dessert itself!

Picture perfect views over Lech, after catching the bus from Zurs to venture into even more of the local terrain.

Fortunately, we were able to ski with Leo Demelbauer, who guides escorted trips for Alpine to Europe. Having an expert guide helped us find the best terrain and explore as much of the mountain as possible.

View over Lech as we skied down...

The Tannbergerhof, rumored to have the best gluhwein in Austria. For research purposes, Team Alpine ventured to apres ski here, just to see if this was the case...certainly delicious, but we may have to continue to our research...

Thurnher's Alpenhof invited us to dinner our first night at the hotel, which was Asian night. Another spectacular meal!
